Edelbrock step up springs

sounds nice!!!!!lots of hard work in there. Its not revving high,700r4 is nice. Maybe the tires? i had remolds on one of my trucks and it almost cut my mileage in half.they were tall and heavy as heck.not a lot of Eldelbrock help on hear,but there are carb masters that might pipe in.

With that cam, 15-1900 rpm trying to haul 4500 lbs in overdrive is probably not only causing the metering rods to be full rich, but you might be in the secondaries as well. Chug alug chug.

That's kind of what I was thinking, because I have to back way off the throttle to get it to drop into overdrive. I went down a step on the pump shot and it helped a little bit in that aspect, but that's about all it did.

In that case, pop in some stronger springs and see what happens.
