Just got my carb (Holley 950 - 3 barrel) back from a shop. I had gas shooting out of the rear air vent tube.....about 3" high. The tech told me it was caused by global warming....
Ford would lay off ICE people to cut costs, not profits. The sub heading was a bit misleading.
Really, with the oil companies saying they're pulling back on long term fossil fuel investments - and more US gasoline refinery capacity being taken offline - what's the point of developing ever more more ICEs?
The point is - and has been since the 2011 agreement between the automakers and the Obama administration's EPA( https://obamawhitehouse.archives.go...ration-proposes-historic-fuel-economy-standar ) - to make ICE vehicles more expensive via ever tighter regulations, until they become more expensive than BEVs. Now, by creating regulatory uncertainty over oil infrastructure, the price of gasoline is being driven up. So new ICE vehicles will become more expensive than BEVs, and restricted oil and refinery capability will make gasoline and diesel more expensive until old ICE vehicles are stranded assets(nobody will want to pay much money for them if gasoline is $20/gallon). That seems fairly obvious.

Next phase is to blast it out on the state run media and paint anyone who disagrees as stupid and unable to understand it. Kind of like we've seen a little bit in this thread.

Yep. All of us expendable pieces on the ruling class' game board have to suffer needlessly with higher prices on everything so the they can fly to Davos and Aspen every year on their private jets and pat eachother on the back about how much progress they're making on implementing the "liberal world order".
