Electrolysis Tank

    I had my parts resting on plastic in my tank when I did mine. It did not affect the plastic. However, rust particles did accumulate on it and stain it as the plastic was white. I am sure it could have been cleaned off but I didn’t try.

    The caustic Soda is in fact caustic so if left in long enough it might damage it but if it were me and I couldn’t get the plastic part off I would just go for it.

    besides getting dirty it should not harm the plastic.

    Well initial results are in. I’d say this is a huge success.

    When I went to remove my seats they wouldn't budge. I had to hit it pretty good with a 5lb hammer to free the drivers side up. Now it moves freely, so I'm pretty happy. Looks like evaporust did an excellent job for you as well.

    That EvapoRust is amazing stuff! I initially thought how can something that can be ingested, gotten into the eyes, dunk your hands into it, not harmful to go down a drain do anything meaningful? It works! I have a nice plastic tub with a snap tight lid on it with 5 gals of that stuff and use it frequently.
