I used them for seat track extension instead of welding a nut on there my head is already touching the headliner every little bit counts just weld the elevator bolt on

Those elevator bolts are not the elevator you are thinking, not the one on buildings...
Are from grain elevators the one that go on mills and silos.

There is another kind of the same here, not squared but with "pins" as to secure it to the elevator band.

Correct! Specifically, they are used to hold the buckets that are attached to the conveyor belting in a vertical run (hence the term "grain elevator"). Sold conveyors among other "Engineered Products" early on in my career as a Mechanical Engineer (now retired). This was in the early '80s. They DO have a lot of uses outside that purpose. Few people even know what they are but like so many other fasteners once you know about them you have a project and your brain immediately goes: "Elevator bolt"!
