I'm Looking for an alternative to the floor mounted kick panel mounted emergency brake. I was wondering what others have done to relocate. How well does it work for you? and was it worth it?

installed an e stop electric parking brake in a customers 70 gto and it works good. no handles.

Did you use the existing cables or do you not need them at all? I looked them up, but the description wasn't too clear.

I would think since it has to be mounted somewhere firm. That you would need to mount on the subframe and would require new cables, to fit the new application.RS1979 said:

There is a thread here where one of the members put a pull-handle type e-brake in an aftermarket center console. I will see if I can find it and post a link here.

the e stop you have to mount solid to the frame and make new cables. the customer lives in newyork and puts it on with a wireless remote to avoid theft if they get the car started.
