I installed some emergency brake cables on my 1974 Z28(from each rear wheel to old brake cable coming from the emergency brake pedal) and when I press the emergency brake pedal all the way to the floor the brakes will not hold the car when it is in neutral,I have the adjusting nut on the cable coming from the pedal all the way out and the cables are pulled tight when the pedal is pressed in,any HELP and my 1974 Z28 is a 4speed manual car.THANKS

What I do... Adjust out till the drum starts to drag on the shoes. Then adjust back in a little.

I have 4 speed and my drive is sloped. Use the ebrake all time.
