Just did a leak down test on #2 and you could hear just a small amount of air coming from breathers on valve covers, compared it with #1 cylinder and it seems to be the same. Guess Ill check that plug wire next..

OK pulled the head and intake piston looked good valves look good replaced plug wires. When I rev it in park it revs fine starts great but when I rev it it seems to come back to idle kinda slow. Haven't driven it yet but seems to be doing same thing as before. I unhooked the timing control only thing hooked up now is the 6AL box and window switch I'm out of ideas. could I have an air bleed or something in carb stopped up????

    Maybe a vacumn leak.

Could the dizzy shaft be slightly bent?

I would pop in a cheap hei and see.

Tried new dizzy didn't help. I haven't found another ignition box yet. Whats weird is it starts perfect idles perfect but only misses under load and seems to surge a little under light throttle like at 20 to 25 mph.. any more ideas????? Don't think its vac leak i pulled the intake and have all vac lines plugged.
