Since I got the car back together....having some clearance issues with the old setup that I used. Wanting to see what yall are using on your exhaust tips, mine are rubbing and making unwanted noise. Pics would be greatly appreciated!

I ran my 2 1/2 in. pipe straight from the headers, under the floor pans, short cherry bombs under the rear floor pans then up an over the rear axles then to the stock locations at the rear bumper. I wouldn't do it like that again!! I have clearance problems also, speed bumps & low dips in the road when hauling ass. Tuck the pipes into the trans tunnel & mount a 2 into 2 muffler above the diff on that wall where the back seat is then to the stock locations at the rear. Lots of bends, that's why I haven't done this. Don't use those old style U pipe clamps, can't take the pipes off once there clamped down. Use those band style clamps.

Pypes makes a real nice system. 2.5''stainless x pipes with either the transverse muffler or the muffs under the rear floor pans. I have the transerse on and like it a lot. Great clearance.

How good does Pypes with transverse muffler sound and is it loud? I like the looks of Pypes transverse muffler system but I want mine to be loud too.

Not real loud at low r's just a nice rumble. When you get on it the sound is def loud. No drone at any speed. The single muff flows as well as duals. The system will not hurt the hp of the motor. Clearance is the deal maker for me any how. Fear no speed bump!

Here's an old picture of how I ran my exhaust. I've since added a single chamber mufflers instead of the glass packs, and a X pipe right before the mufflers and have never had a clearance issue. 2.5" all the way

I'm just curious as to what everyone is running for the tips, the rest of my system fits good, but my tips are now hitting in areas on the tail panel because it was....rusted out badly lol. Just trying to get ideas of what would look good for my setup, and what wouldn't is all.

I originally had the polished tips out the rear.
Didnt like the stains on the rear valance(my bad),so I just used the supplied(pypes kit)down peices.
