I've used the 2.5" mandrel bend kit from Summit a couple of times with good results. To get the mufflers closer to the floor the pipe that runs from the header collector to the muffler can rotated so the muffler can moved up closer to the floor. I don't care for the pinched bends done at a muffler shop.

Flowmaster had a "U-Weld-it" kit that I used, 3" all mandrel bends, with a few feet of straight 3" pipe, I had enough material for a complete exhaust, with full length 3" tail pipes (1972 Z28), and another exhaust on a customers car with turn downs at the rear end (1980 Malibu).

Also check your rear transmission mount. They go bad and help the exhaust hang down due to the drop angle.

In a Camaro there are indentations for the mufflers in these cars.So if your exhaust is done correctly .Its should be tucked .
