I have been wondering about what option would have the metal piece that goes through the middle of the doors and part of the fender and a little bit on the rear quarter panel. My car has that and it doesent say anything on the build sheet about it. The 80w on the picture is what im talking about.[IMG]

Do you have a pic of the chrome on the car.
Dealerships put most of them on.

Here is a pic I took a while back. Right now the car is stripped but this is about the best pic I saw the one on the door is ripped off but the one on the fender is there. Also here is my build sheet if that helps.

Those are called the Body Side Moldings. If it was factory installed, there should be an RPO on the build sheet. According to another webpage, http://www.chevy-camaro.com/chevy-camaro-RPO-Codes-year.php?year=1981 it should be RPO code B84 for Body Side Molding, If you look on the lower left of your build sheet, the RPO codes are listed in alphabetical order, B84 would be in the correct area which is below the Roof Drip moldings and the B81 Belt Body...., I am not sure what body belts are, but possibly could be the same thing.

Also, I could not make out a lot of the upper section of the build sheet, but it is possible there could be a box for it up there somewhere.

I found a code in box 71 but I can’t tell if it says b4 or 84 but I have no idea if that would be the right code anyway. Thanks for helping me either way.

    My 80 Berlinetta has:
B84 - BODY SIDE MLD BLACK
    &
    B85 BELT MLDG
    On the build sheet.

Ive never known what trim pieces belong to which option code.

My 78 Base Camaro had B84 BODY SIDE MLD (but no B85)
It had the trim across the middle of the door like that so I believe Smokin' Joe is correct about B84.
