Facebook search question

Not on Facebook but thinking about it. Might be selling some stuff on Marketplace or Craigs list this summer, be mostly pickup in our tri-state area. Wondering if Facebook has a bulletin board of sorts where I could post a name and state and check out somebody that I might be going to meet for a sale. That can get a little screwy sometimes. If it is a Craigslist deal the buyer might not be on Facebook I suppose but maybe someone has dealt with him and lived to tell about it.

If your going to meet in public. Why not meet at your local police department parking lot? If they are legit they will agree. I had a weirdo tweeker type show up at my house in the Dark. This guy gave me the willies. He was bobbing up and down like he was a Mexican Jumping bean. I asked to see some money B4 we went any further. Did not produce. I finally just told him to leave.

I've had pretty good results in buying stuff like that over the years but seems like Facebook has all the info there is, save some aggravation by getting a heads up in advance. Thanks for the reply!

Yeah, I never had any issues until I did LOL. Two guys showed up to look at a washer and dryer, father and son team. Both dudes big as hell and weird. I had my oldest boy with me in the garage and these two dudes kept moving around like they were trying to get position on us. Really creepy thing. They ended up buying the stuff loaded it up and moved on but I'm done selling out of the house if I can avoid it. My boy won't even look on Craigslist now.

Yeah I know the local PD and CHP office near me have dedicated spots for making transactions. I know the CHP office on Facebook was advertising it as "while we won't help you negotiate the price we will be there to observe" or something like that.

If you list it on Facebook marketplace the persons name and info automatically comes up when they message you. Most of the time, it’s pretty easy to tell what they’re about by scrolling through the their recent time line. I buy and sell tons of poo on Facebook. I don’t even bother with Craigslist anymore, everything is in Facebook now. where are you located, in the tri state area?

Would be looking around So. Ohio, N. Kentucky, W. Virginia. But this is a future project, bunch of stuff laying around that's gathering dust.
