This must be Chevy's latest entry into the factory race car division. It is very reminiscent of the 1969 L88 Corvette. To get the L88 engine you had to give up the radio and heater. That should discourage you from driving it on the street.

I was just thinking about how you can buy a GT3-R from Porsche. It's an out of the box ready to go GT class road race car ready to go. Ferrari has this too. Just spend the $$ and a factory race car shows up.
I don't think Chevy has ever offered something like this in Corvette. You could buy bodies in white, and some race parts. But a normal person cannot and has never been able to buy a C5/6/7/8 'R"

You'd think they'd offer a COPO C8R at this point. But no.

GM did offer road race ready Camaros and Firebirds, complete with sealed hand assembled engines, special computers and roll cage from '86 to '92.
Option codes to get one were A4Q, AU4 or R7U, depending on the year.

$140K with $15 deposit to order. I searched around some to see who actually puts the car together but it looks like an "in house" build by Chevy. Be curious to see how many are actually sold.

Chevrolet reintroduced the COPO Camaro program back in 2012 . The 2023 COPO is the last of it's kind as production stops next year

Remember back in the day, little different process for the Copo cars though.

Probably most will go to collectors and museums. Hendricks, Childress, Leno, etc.
