Family 1 owner 78 z28 UPDATE: PAINTED
Been on here since summer of 14'. I have a 78 Z28 that my father ordered from the factory back in Dec of 77 when he saw it on the show room floor. I have so many fond memories of this car growing up. He drove it every day up until the 90s when he got a job an hr from home and had to get a small gas saver to make it worth it. This car sat on the street for years in front of our house and suffered, finally he put it on the family farm in a shed to halfway store it out of sight.
When I was 17 I rescued it from the farm, got it running, started doing burn outs and trying to make it faster and better. By college time (2002ish) I had rebuilt the motor, and went through the motor multiple times doing go fast upgrades. Also started some of the body work, my dad has been in the body business since he was 17, so he was taking care of that. Got the front clip fixed and primed, I rebuilt the suspension and powercoated it. Had my fun, then once I graduated college life halted all progress. Bills and life get in the way of ever finishing the car.
Fast forward almost 10 years I got the project jump started after many years of it sitting in the driveway and only driving it a few hundred miles a year. On to the pics!
