I am trying to find out some information about rear disks on a ford 9". I have a 9" and i want to convert to disk brakes. I heard that it is possible to scavenge parts off of old cars. I heard old Lincolns, granadas, and possible the broncos/explorers. Did anyone do this or know how and what parts and cars to get it from. I know there is kits out there from aftermarket companies, but it really isn't in my budget to do that. Any information would be appreciated.

Try KORE3. He can offer a kit that runs C5 rear discs with parking brakes.

Or the older 97 -2002 Camaro calipers have the e-brake built in. Then all you need to add is the brackets. Kind of like a Baer kit on the cheap. I've done a couple of 10 bolts that way and a 9". Worked well.

All depends if they are still Ford ends or aftermarket with a GM pattern.

Lots of the Ford guys use Explorer rear disc setups.
