Cars worthless if that's the case.....IMHO, one of 600 trim tags.
I do remember this car. I was in contact with a guy named Rob selling it about a year ago or so. He wasn't very forthcoming with information and detailed pictures about the car. I actually have some pictures I saved. It did have a big block motor under the hood. Also, What appeared to be a big block radiator in it. But a lot of correct and original parts are missing from that car. Its just basically another camaro project car with a L78 trim tag. Unless he provides proof that tag belongs to it with documentation proof. I wouldn't consider paying much for it.
Was it the correct engine? I wonder what happened to the drivetrain then....
It wasn't the original motor. Again he wasn't very forthcoming with good information and pictures for me. So I just passed and never returned to talk more with him. Also the tachometer shown isn't a correct L78 tachometer. So I was thinking this car was a hodgepodge bunch of parts. So Again I didn't return to further a interested in the car.
Nothing but a money-sucking tetanus threat.
That poor old roach should be dissected of it's few remaining parts and crushed.
(Someone might pay good money for the trim tag but that should disappear too.)
VF3 bumpers, without the hard to find rubber though....been gutted of anything of rarity or value. Hope that blue tub is full of gold bars!
RS parts of value, maybe fenders....oh, those windshield eyebrow escutcheons! Ha!!!
I agree with others on here that you are buying a trim tag. There are way too many things pointing in the wrong direction that this is a true L78. Any serious collector would question if the tag was born with that body unless legit paper comes with it. Even then several holy grail parts must be found even if you had the funds to purchase. That car is about as ground zero as you can get IMHO.
Buy the removable sheet metal and ease on down the road.
drop the gas tank and see if theres a build sheet
