Would like to drop my 79 about an inch. I am currently sitting at 14 3/8 inches from frnder lip to wheel center. I am seeing a lot of people go with the moog 5610. I would like a firm but not feel like I'm in a 3/4 ton ford pick up LOL.

I would skip the springs and go with the QA1 pro coilover setup. It will handle better, have a tighter feel and best part is you can adjust your ride height to what you want. I dropped my 79z28 about 2 inches and it looked good!!! $459.00 at Jegs.

I used the 5610's on my 77 I had. No regrets and I think it dropped maybe an inch. Rode good too.

If the Op goes coil over, look for a more true coil over set up.( Keith custom works). Requires some welding, but it's as right as it can be without a aftermarket frame.

Goto the QA1 website, and put in your car, it will guide you through what is best for you! I went to the P/N section and it gave the exact part number per spring rate and I used that P/N in summit or jegs to see the price and availability

Would like to stay with the conventional spring as I just bought new shocks to install and found one spring was broken. And the coil over is a little on the pricey side for me. Thanks for the info on the coil overs though.

I went with the Eibach lowering springs. They're stiffer than stock but not too bad.
