Guy powdercoated a set of gauges faces in "silver vein" for me. When I slow down enough at the shop, I'm going to build a spectacular set of gauges out of these! His work is spectacular!
Any update on this? I plan on doing this in the exact same powdercoat.

I am having trouble with my oil pressure gauge, I can't find the part number for the sending unit for the 80 PSI unit, anyone know?
Thanks,
Tim

Here's the info I have on the one I installed:

A partial list of compatible sending units :
Advance Auto Part No. S768P
Auto Zone Part No. CP7577
NAPA Part No. MPEOP6638SB
Advance Auto sells the BWD (Borg Warner) brand. This one seems to work very well for
everyone. Compatible part numbers are:
S768
S768P
S769
The best sender seems to be BWD brand from Advance Auto. Part # S768P, S768, or
S769
You won't find a sending unit for the oil gauge on the parts store searches because the
2nd gen Camaros never had the oil gauge Third gen Camaro had the gauge, but it was
a 60 PSI gauge, so that unit isn't compatible.
I was able to get an AC Delco brand sender from Classic City Auto Parts (a sponsor on
this site). That unit also works very well. Basically, the sender for any 70's GM vehicle
with 80 PSI oil gauge will work just fine (ie: Corvette, Trans Am, Grand Prix, etc)

Just wanted to say thanks, Daniel for the oil gauge. I went through Pete at FbodyWarehouse to get it. Looks great and will post a pic when installed. Can't wait to replace that silly clock.

I just received the restored gauges for my 70Z project back from Daniel...wow, absolutely gorgeous. I love it when people exceed my expectations and not only are the gauges themselves works of art, but Daniel is one of the nicest people to work with. Thank you Daniel and I'll work extra hard to make the rest of the car worthy of your gauge restoration!

Pictures please!

I too get inspired when the few things I farm out come back better than anticipated. My brake booster and carb are two such things.
