I just measured my original door skin on my 73,6" handle and 5.5" indent.
Measured the door skin and the indent is 5.5".
Will have to dig out the other skins I have tomorrow and measure them

Twisted the link refers to repop skins

    I realize that.
I believe the link is correct that repops come in only one style.

NOS door skin had two variations in the skins.

Your skins will fit either door shell so your listing is technically correct.

I just wanted you to know there was a difference so a potential buyer knew what they were getting and they didn’t get shipped back and forth if the pocket was the wrong size.

I would hate to see your parts damaged through extra shipping processes if they weren’t exactly what the buyer wanted.

The early style NOS door skins are VERY hard to find, so... If that’s what you have, they should be listed as 70-74 skins.

Someone out there will pay a premium for an early 2nd gen NOS door skin.

Thanks for the info and clarification.

Did GM have 2 different part numbers for the early and later skins?

I have no source for part numbers... Sorry.

There was a member here who went so far as to cut the door handle pocket out of his original, early 2nd gen, door and welded it in to the later door skin so both sides matched and fit the long handles correctly.
(I've searched but can't seem to find that thread. :( )

These are the 2 different part numbers, both drivers side.
Both handle indents measure the same.
The 00471782 skin appears to be much older and a better stamping

The picture I took yesterday of the tab didn't turn out clear.
    I'll get another later today
