Is anyone watching the prices of 1988-1998 GM half-ton trucks? Have the prices been trending up or staying steady over the last couple of years?

A family friend has his one owner bright red 1991 GMC Sierra SLE for sale. It is an Alabama truck since new and has no rust or dents but the original paint is in poor condition. The truck is a regular cab short bed step side two-wheel-drive with the 350 V8 engine and automatic overdrive. It was his work vehicle for many years on his 80-mile round trip to and from work. The truck has 247,000 miles and it runs and drives very well. He has priced the truck at $3,500.

No rust on a short bed 91 pickup? I'd buy it in a heartbeat if I was in the market but the step side hurts it just a bit.

As someone who grew up in Michigan. What is this “rust free” that you speak of? That’s only something we dream of up here.

That truck would be priced higher around here.

I have a rusty 92 long box reg cab in my back yard, the frame is rusted out. The interior on this truck inc. the headliner is like mint. One dude saw it and want's the truck and offers $500 cash. I had to tell him I can part this out and triple that $500. I plan to use the tilt column in my kids 63 Biscayne. It has a super running 305 TBI engine that still hold 60 psi oil pressure cold with 220K on it. Ya those trucks are getting up there. I want to do a Short Box painted black with SS454 on the box making it a clone.

It took me forever to find my 94 single cab short bed, they aren't exactly rare but getting harder to find on not beat to hell. That's kind of how the previous two generations of the Chevy trucks went. Tons and tons of them out there and slowly became worth more and more as they got crushed.

Got lucky on my 88 C1500.

Rust-free CA truck. Daily driver work truck, 4/6 drop, mild 350, Edelbrock headers, ported big blade throttle body, K&N cold air package, 7004R. Idles so smooth I have to look at the tach to see if it's running.

(Paint was like this when I bought it)

I haven't really paid attention what they're selling for but I figured it was going up. I turned down $10,500 for my 1992 GMC Suburban a month ago. It just turned 64K miles
