    yeah just saw news today. That sux. Not my KIND of music but I have listened to it a lot growing up. The guy was obviously a step above MANY....The ONLY black guy singing COUNTRY!!! 40 yrs ago!!! R.I.P. sir.

    remember when i was a kid when he came to town he would visit my friends house. Never got to meet him.his mother and himself were good friends.his music will live on.r.i.p.

    Years ago when I played in a band that song was a staple. Actually since I retired this year I started playing again (at home). After all those years my musically muscle memory came back
