Looking to do a cam kit this winter, i would like to get a little more performance and chop to my car what is a decent cam for this? I understand some cams require different pushrod lengths and stuff also.
I think people have reported that they love their Comp Cams HE268 cams. That's probably the biggest reasonable cam for a stock engine. The voodoo cam is probably hotter with faster ramps and all. I have bought many Eddy Performer cams and they are tame like a stock cam imo. The cam companies may have a better suggestion.
Personally I like the Crane 274H06. It's basically the same as the Comp HE268 but on a 106 instead of a 110. The bottom end torque is night and day different and it'll pull through 5 grand easy with 3.73s and 882 heads with a basic dual plane.
