Twisted I just shared this link with my daughter. She’s 29 and her favorite color is still rainbow. She’s going to insist I buy these for my project because “they are beautiful” :)

They look a lot like the Thrush mufflers of that time. If so, they would be great to hang on the garage wall. If put under a car, they would likely rust through in a year or two with that thin wall body.

^ Yup.

I had one of the “woodpecker” Thrush mufflers at one time.

They were such simple mufflers and were designed so you could bend the inlet and outlet pipes for fitment by stepping on them.

You could replace a standard offset muffler without replacing or modifying the other exhaust pipes or fittings.

There was a Thrush manufacturing plant just outside of Toronto in Rexdale, Ontario when I was growing up. They also used to make budget side pipes called Outsiders. I ran Big Daddy glass packs on my 1st car, a 1970 Camaro.
