A GT45 should make around 800HP with 8.5:1 compression and a 400cu/in V-8. This is assuming, conservatively, HP losses and pump gas. A very very streetable motor with a little lag. Twins would be even better.

Not cheap to do right with quality parts like a Dart block, forged bottom end, intercooler, turbocharger, wastegate, headers, exhaust, intake tubing, boost referenced carb, etc, etc, etc............................................................

I priced out a pair of turbos with everything except my labor and it was around $7800.

Search the site. There are a few who have done it like TurboT/A (SBC) and IIRC Louich (BBC). Very fast rides!
