Thanks. But nobody got hurt!! Up on 4 jack stands in the garage. Just an FYI. If anybody has a kidde fire extinguisher Goggle it. I went to use mine and it did not work!! I just found out they have a recall on them 4.3 million of them. Not a good feeling when it did not work. I had a 3 lbs one. Pls pass it on. Sled

I feel your pain... fire is a very bad. I had the rear float bowl loosen up on my carb and catch fire. the Insurance company totaled it out and I kept it and started to do a lot of the work myself. As I took it apart I used ziplock bags and labeled everything (it really helped when I could see what screws I was looking for) I drained my block and changed the oil in it a few times during the build and the motor was fine fire1.jpg fire2.jpg

Sorry to hear about the fire. Hope it is not too bad. I have one in the kitchen and one in my Van. They are about 10 yrs old I don't know if there is a shelf life but last time I looked the needle was still in the green at the same spot it always has been. Thanks for the info.
