Does anybody have any kind of idea to get the 74 Z28 headlight bezel to fit better where it goes up against the front of the headlight? The driver side fits closer to headlight. The passenger side has a gap like this photo. Any suggestions of how to fix it. My 74 Z28 had body work and paint a few years ago and was put back like this. Thanks

I would think your only option would be to make some sort of adjustment to the headlight bucket itself. The bezel doesn't have any wiggle room for adjustment. The adjusting screws will only move the bulb (as I'm sure you're well aware) but will do nothing for cleaning up the spacing between the bulb and bezel, which leaves the only other piece in the puzzle...the headlight bucket itself.

The headlight mounting "bucket" has some bolt holes to mount it which might be altered a bit to move the headlight unit a little bit. Just make sure which way and how much so you can alter the three mounting holes accordingly. IF you get "off in left field", it might be hard to get back to where you need to be. The other thing is that you might need to do a lot of disassembly to get that done, then put it back together to see how well you might have done.

FEW things on those front ends were perfect, by observation. The fit of the fiberglass header panels was NOT the best in the world, by observation.

Personally, I'd be more worried about something everybody can see . . . the gaps between the hood and fenders being equal and parallel. If those look correct, few will look further at things like how centered the headlights might be in their bezels. Unless, the headlights are much worse than yours are.

The '74-'77 front ends were adapted and use the '70-'73 fenders. Which generates those flaky headlight holders and such. The header panel looks good, but quality and fit was not the best.

Just some thoughts and observations,
