Headlights

I have a 1981 Z28 When I turn my headlights on only one turns on and when I put the high beams on they both work. That means I need to have the high beams on.I did put in new lamp with no luck

Check that you have power to the low beam contact in the wire socket for the bulb.

Broken wire or corroded connector in the socket is my best guess.

It’s not a ground problem as hi and low beam use the same ground.
