I am refurbishing my non-a/c interior heater box and I wanted a textured finish on the outside similar to how the factory did it. I can report that Rustoleum textured black spray paint worked pretty well. Originally I wanted to use textured powder coat, but it wouldn't fit in my powder coat oven. Anyway, be sure to shake this stuff 'till heck won't have it!

I also use the rustoleum textured for the texture HOWEVER I typically shoot ultra flat over the top because I find the texture to be a little to pronounced and not quite zero gloss as the original.
What brand of paint do you like for this application? I got a can of KRYLON camo black and sprayed a small test patch. It's really flat, which I like. I am not a stickler for authenticity, but don't want the heater to be very noticeable.
