Ill post some pics when I get my camera out of the bag. The trip here was a mess, plane was broke before we took off, flew to Atlanta, ended up spending a night in a hotel there. In my 20 plus years of service, that is the first time a plane has ever broken down and a flight delayed on the way there. Normarlly it happens when its time to go on mid tour or on the way home. (two different times on redeloyments ive been delayed, 3 days each due to plane issues).

Anyways finally made it to Manas Kyrzghstan. This is the diff between the Army and the AF. All the tents - to include transient tents had wireless internet in them. Plus the AF guys could drink 2 beers a day there. Left Manas and got to Bagram, stayed there a couple of nights - hated it and couldnt wait to leave and finally got here to FOB Salerno. Not to bad, I have internet and TV in the room so cant complian.

I'll post some pics of the FOB once I get my camera, it reminds me of being stationed at Ft Carson CO scenery wise.

    Take care all.

Glad to hear you arrived safely.

God speed in your mission and your safe return home.
I have a buddy on his 3rd tour over there at one of the prison camps.

Yes, the AF is the best for MWR.

Ive got a buddy out there now. Although he is a cook.
When he came back, he said, "I dont have any war stories, but one time I jumped from behind the corner with a knife and sliced a cake" lol

Good Luck, keep your head down. It looks like it is going to heat up as soon as all of the personnel are in place. Godspeed!
