High-Beam Switch

Dumb question but dumber if I don't ask
I'm about to put dynamat down. Do I cut the dynamat around the switch or mount the switch over the dynamat?

Cut around the switch.

Yep, factory stuff had a cutout.

I assure you that the only dumb question is the one you didn’t ask!

Switch directly to the floor. If you have the dynamat in between you might get the mounting screws tight initially but then after a while the dynamat will get hot and then ooze out and then the switch will become loose.
