Ordered a Carb from pro-systems today. Folks seemed to know there stuff after discussing how the engine and trans is set up Pat recommended a 780 CFM carb. Bonus with these guy's is that they customize the carbs to your needs so was able to get a few vacuum ports built in the way i wanted them. Turn around is not that bad as well 4 day lead to have it built should have it by mid next week.

Nice!! I'm close to getting one as well. Did you opt for the Venom II billet metering blocks with yours by chance?

No I did not ask for them...We did discuss how the car is setup and Pat pretty much knew off the bat as to what he wanted to put on it.

So did receive the carb today. and yes Pat did put on the Venom II metering blocks. Engine does snap good. Down side the idle is a really rich but on the up side he is on the hook as to trying to figure that out.

Holley designed the popular style carbs everybody is suggesting. Why not support them for their contribution? I'm sure the copy cats are decent options but like I said Holley is the origin not to mention the best price. If you want a bolt on and don't mess with it best bang for buck I suggest:

set the idle mixture with a vacuum gauge. screw all 4 corners in all the way and back out 2 1/2 turns. adjust one screw at a time until highest engine vacuum is acheived and then copy the turns to the other 3 screws. Rinse and repeat until no change in vacuum.
