Looking for input on the terminator.. I'm doing a basic "non boosted build", 2005 LQ4, 6.0 with a BTR stage 2 cam and a TKX manual transmission.

I'm considering buying a stand alone harness anyway and it will require a tune... I'm thinking those things alone you are are looking at the 6-700 dollar range? I see these Terminator kits starting at 1200... (not sure which one I need)...

I'm a noob so anything that makes the process simpler I'm all in... Any advice would be greatly apricated... Jack..

Go over to LS1tech.com and ask the same question. I looked into the Holley X system but decided to go with another supplier on my 80 Camaro LS3/4L60E project. One that I've used on a number of LS swaps.

Yes definitely Holley TermX. It includes a wiring harness, 3.5 inch LCD, and wide band O2 sensor and almost tunes itself.

I have one on my 74 Camaro with LQ4 and 4L80e and it runs great!

As I recall you will need a Holley adapter for the MAP sensor. Double check the cam sensor connector you may need an adapter from Holley. Also the Holley system is speed density not mass air flow like a "stock" LS so you won't need a mass air flow sensor. Per Andrew70 over on LS1tech the Holley doesn't really self tune. When you select and page thru the setup instructions the ECM has a couple of thousand tunes stored inside and it selects the tune closest to the combo you plugged in. I talked to Andrew about this in detail. I liked the no tune aspect of the Holley system. Andrew offers tuning via laptop to laptop for the Holley system. Andrew has been on LS1tech for many years. I don't know Andrew personally but he really likes the Holley system because it's so easy to custom tune/configure to your needs.
Nothing against Holley I believe they build a solid product.
    Good luck with your swap.

The only extra I bought was the cable to connect it to your laptop Holley #558-443. Then using the Holley free software you can easily touch up the tune using your laptop to make it perfect. The auto tuning is wonderful, it gets you most of the way there, no need to pay a guy!

I used Fi Tech on my last build and just ordered it yesterday for my 70 LS3 build starting Friday.
Ran 4L65E in my 73 and just ordered one for my 70.
Fi Tech gets a bad review from some others but it worked well for me.
$1k for evening including trans controller.
