from what i see you probably have your rear part of fender in just a scotch too far. the factory actually calls for the fender to be outboard just a little for clearance. the rear of fender in its jamb area is not shaped to actually afford the door and fender being to close and level or parallel to each other. when you try to gap like modern cars you will run into this. it all starts at the 1/4 panels and rocker. You are dictated at front because of header mount. that being said is Definity true on factory, maybe not so on aftermarket. i agree with what Bad is saying. i would not recommend trying to bend hood, potential to create distortion on face. you may also find that after putting glass and trim on doors that they might be too tight also. or not. when disassembling those are things to note especially do to mass manufacturing deviations. the technology back then is not what it is now.Sory yes french
