Its hard to tell by the two pictures, but he may have no choice. If the hood is square, that just means all hoods will fit like that unless he addresses the fenders. As mentioned, if he doesn't have seals and weather stripping installed, he will find out quick how tight all that is.

X2^^^^ If his doors are "pinched" inwards, due to adjustment w/o seals, this can be a major issue down the road.

Adjust door shells/weatherstrip to body, make adjustment and square off the front end.

Heck of alot easier to add to the rockers then to take from the hood or fenders.

The gap at the header panel looks very large to me and possibly bowed up. What are you adding to the rockers? I dont understand?

The fender can be pulled from the hood and keep the rocker alignment.
