Tonight I was trying to get the bell housing bolts off to remove the motor and 3 bolts on the headers could not be accessedwith a socket and barely got in with a wrench. Are there other header models I guess that have better access to the bolts? So a socket can fit all of them or am Ijust asking to much :)

I have not experienced a set of headers where you could do that. I have always had to have a wrench at some point (at least for a few of the nuts).

My Headmans are not too bad. Only 1 nut that is a real pain in the back side

Which Hookers? The 1 3/4" Comp models? That's what I have & they were far worse that the 1 5/8" Hookers I took off. I found some Allen key bolts that had worked on all 12 for the smaller headers but I had to grind the hell out of the head on 2-3 of them to fit the bigger ones. Then an Wobble Allan Key works, slow, but it works.

    ***OOPS*****
Sorry misunderstood the problem, bell housing bolts are always a pain with hookers. If you have the big pipes, just wait till you go to do an oil change, bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.... Lossen all the header bolts & the collector bolts to get the filter out.

Ill try to post pics of what I dealt with, but thought that you could atleast get a wrench on the bolts, the 3 I had problems with, I couldn't get a grip of with the wrench and stripped the corners of the bolts..

I got them off, but figured id ask before wasting time cleaning and painting these if I can get better fitting ones I would..

    header challenge

y not just go with short tube headers in the first place? Dumb question? I don't know.

I test fitted long tubes with my entire suspension and inner fender removed and I couldn't believe what a PITA is was to try and get things tightened up.

    I'm goin' with shorties.

That is just the fun of headers imho. You have to pay to play. What's a knuckle or two??

Well I found a solution to my original problem, which may be the best for my budget.. im having this headers blasted and then painted with the VHT Aluminum paint and baked to dress them up, then I found some header bolts that use allen wrench to tighten, so no need for socket to fit around when you can get an allen wrench in just fine..
