Does this indicate the 70-74 kit is available?

We have installed all of the Holley/Hooker stuff many times and we have a package that gives you the best fit and ground clearance for 70-74 and 75-81 F-bodies. I don't recommend the kit as a whole for the 70-74. We are an authorized Hooker/Holley dealer and installation center as well

I'm pretty sure you are stuck buying ALL their stuff, mounts, headers, etc

    What he said.

My frame rail is 4 1/4 from the ground, low but not slammed. The Hookers sit at 1 3/4". I must do the exhaust for the THIRD time.

I have a 73 and I can say this from trial an error, im using the kooker mounts and trans crossmember and the LATE 2nd Gen headers, if your looking for max ground clearance then you can't go wrong with that setup, I tried both the early an late Hooker and the late headers from Hooker fit the early Gen the best.

Mike thats how low they were with the early headers, where does it sit now? should be about 3/4" lower than the frame

The later 2nd gen ones netted me an inch, Hooker sent me painted ones, so while they fit better, i have to coat them or order another set. I understand there is a coating source on the peninsula (here in the Bay Area) so i might go that route and jjust do the passenger side.

For maximum ground clearance, middy's? what are your thoughts Keith?

Sanderson Headers in South San Francisco is the place that coated my headers and I'm very happy with them :)
