Hot spot device for internet while camping

    You mentioned she has Straight Talk... I'd look at that first, as it will probably be the cheapest and easiest just to hotspot with her own phone. I forget whose towers they piggyback off of (maybe the answer is any/all of them in varying locations?), but a quick google search shows $35/mo for 3GB, $45 for 25GB, $55 for Unlimited (maybe these numbers are BS?). If the exam is video-based, I'd go the $55 plan just in case. But still, I don't think you'll get a dedicated hotspot box for <$20/mo anyway, unless things have changed.

    You all probably know more about this than me, but we cancelled our cable and internet last fall for the winter. Went to the library and got a two week loan of their hotspot before we headed out. Works anywhere there's some power. Worked great in the day, just barely ok after 8pm or so. Free.
