I routed my fuel lines on the Ls swap and everything's good but I don't have an exhaust yet so I remember I bought a dual exhaust system a while back and I decided to install it so I started mocking it up but I noticed that the hoses are real close How far should the exhaust be away from efi hoses to be safe ? Should I use a shield ? Any suggestions ? Thabks Pics appreciated
The farther the better, heating up the gas before it goes to the carb or injectors isn't something you want to do.
did you follow the original path along the frame rails? I did and them came up the front subframe to the regulator and then over to the engine... It works great, no issues with heat.
I used some of this where my fuel lines and tranny cooler lines came close to my exhaust. I checked it after i put some heat in the drive train and all was well. Part # 010487 is 2" to 2.5" X36" long...I cut to fit. www.designengineering.com//category/catalog/design-engineering-inc/line-hose-protection/heat-shroud
