^ I have done the 180* parallel park on a snowy street... With a little more room than that. :D

Helps to have wet pavement. I used the E-brake to pull moves like that. Did it in a girl friend's 80 mustang with her in the pass seat. Trying to impress her and my friends standing outside. A great response from my Buds, but I got "This is how you drive my car" from her. Oh well. I never put a dent in it. I showed my brother how in a New Chevy sprint while on a test drive. He was like oh wow man. Pull over, My turn.

    I did it twice in my 77 Firebird . . . unintentionally.
The first time was at night on my way home. Came over this one hill on a curve and there was a mama cat with her kittens right in the middle of the road. I swerved and ended up in a 180 but still on the road. No cats were harmed and I shooed them off the road.
The second time was at night, partying, same damn hill but raining and I was going too fast. Just lost it. 180 and kept it on the road.:lush:
Pretty sure bald tires helped in both cases.

180's, 270's, and 360's are ALL easily obtainable .....simply add a POSI and a tight shift kit!!!!! clean undies in the glove box are also a good addition

I noticed that Rockford's car had an open differential. I only ever saw one wheel peels on the show. I'm thinking that made the back turns easier and smoother.

Accidentally did a 360 spin going down an icy hill…
I thought engine braking might be a good idea so I down-shifted.

With an open rear end and almost zero traction, one wheel will spin backwards and immediately throw the car into a tight spin.

I was able to up-shift just as the car spun completely around to regain control.

    Lesson learned…
Don’t engine brake on ice with an open rear!!!

I learned the same thing in my old Chevy Luv that had a 4.1 Cadillac V6 and 4.10 gears. Spun completely around in an intersection.

I can't believe no-one has mentioned the cool sport coat he's wearing!! Man that is 70's!! James Garner was an under-rated bad-ass in a world of Hollywood posers IMHO. Later Steve!!
