How to remove 70Z28 accelerator pedal bracket

    Can someone tell me if the nuts are welded to the floor pan?
    What the best way of removing this bracket so i can put above new carpet?

    Nuts are not welded to the floor pan. Loosen from the outside, spray some WD-40 on them first.

    You will need a second person to push the bracket from inside when you go to install the nuts.

    Just don't try taking the studs off the inner plate! Even though they have a hex for a socket, they are resistance welded (at least mine are) to the plate.

    FYI, there is a metal screw between the studs that i used to draw down the plate front inside.
    I just used a long screw to do this process.
    It worked out perfect and solo. Thanks
