If anyone has ever removed a deck lid hinge and pin from its strap on a 70-81 Camaro? I already have the torque rods out, and deck lid off. The pin that keeps the hinge in the strap will not come out, and I don't want to cut it out. It moves side to side about 1/8" but that's about it. Any ideas?

As you probably already know, the pins are flared on one end and have two tabs on the other end that are bent outward to retain it in the hinge. Once the tabs are straightened, the pin should tap out. However, if the hinge has worn into the pin over time and formed a groove, you may have to manipulate the hinge strap in various directions while tapping with a hammer. Good luck.
