Hi I have a 73 camaro and am not sure what they are but I can't see how to remove them, they are helping to hold the headliner up.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Isn't there a recessed screw in it? It may be the same color as the plastic and hard to see.

If these covers are like on my 73 Nova, the plastic cover is hinged and molded to some plastic under the mounting surface to where 3 edges will not be attached and you want to pry the top cap portion off directly opposite where the plastic wraps around to the backside.

Once the cover is hinged open, the bolts should be visible and be able to be removed.

Just be careful as the plastic may be brittle and/or easily scratched.

You might have to work some of the seat belt through the opening to get the plastic to hinge open enough.

I'll look for a screw tomorrow. I didn't think it had a 3 point belt but I did not remove them and I don't think I have the front seat belts. Would be interesting in seeing how it connected originally though.

Those are not factory coat hangers for a 73 Camaro. In mid or late 73, there was a switch from bow headliners to board headliners. The sail panel changed also. The earlier 73 sail panel just had a plain wide hook. Then the mid to later 73-74 had a cut out for a bezel and a hook.

I'm not sure what type of headliner you have. Take a look at my ad in the Swap Meet forum (I think on page 3). There's a set of 73-74 sail panels for a board headliner I sold that has a pic of the hangers.

Also, the 73 did have the 3-point seat belt system. One retractable lap belt between the door and seat, one buckle between the seat and console (if you had one), and a non-retractable shoulder belt. There was a plastic shoulder belt retainer on the headliner rail above the door. The retractor has wiring in it for the seat belt warning light on the lower dash and a sensor under the seat.

Yep, those are the shoulder belt anchors like Jim said. Guess I couldn't tell by the first pic so my bad. I'll post a pic of mine when I get home.

Here's a pic of the shoulder belt anchor. Hopefully, you can make out how the belt loops in the middle of the anchor. I've also included some pics of the seat belt itself. The buckle is often called an exploding seat belt because the housing cracks and the parts go flying, lol. There are some kits available on ebay. There's a 1st and 2nd design kit, which I wasn't aware of.

OK so the actual belt goes through it, thank you for the pictures! I see the coat hangers in the background and mine did not have any, at least it doesn't have any now :)
