I suppose I could, but this is pretty easy.
On the 77 my tops are stapled to the plastic upper, so I found this much easier. It frankly only takes a few minutes of your time. Assuming you have a dremel or a way to cut the thin metal and an exacto to cut the slots on the panel. I was installing the brake lines over the last few days so I will look at that option before I finish them. I find it faster and easier to source the items I used versus sourcing the sunboard/palite. Plus, I really don't want to disassemble the entire panel to fix this issue.
