I really considered sbc aluminum heads for the chevelle. Maybe 5 cases of ammo for the ak, but that would go to russia or the ukraine

Unless you buy the items directly from businesses in other countries, you're still helping the American economy. The places you buy stuff from will make money from the sale.

judging by my recently VERY busy Ebay Camaro/Firebird parts business...a LOT of people are using this time to work on their cars!

I'll blow it on car parts once I'm 100% sure I won't lose my job (everyone is done refinancing their homes, business tanked and I'm going through my first wave of laying people off)

they furloughed about 2/3 of our shop, crazy thing, with state unemployment and the 600 a week federal employment, the furloughed folks will make 21 bucks a hour. more than we make working full time. But being one of the few still working, I'd like to splurge on a set of aluminum heads for my small block 66 chevelle. jim

I'm thinking it might make good sense to put that money in the bank for a rainy day, or a day when things get worse and you need it.

I feel fortunate myself and my teams are still working, I work for a large print company and we support basically all major markets and down to the mom and pop shops.
Hopefully we sustain, company has been around for 156 years and I've been there 25, we all know that doesn't mean much anymore.
    Crazy times for sure.

Yep...keeping ours in the bank to offset the money I'm going to miss out on. Traffic volume on the roads are right around a 30% decrease here. That's almost exactly how much LESS gasoline we're hauling. They just put us on a 4 day work week. I get paid 100% commission of loads I haul by distance. I only hauled 1 very short load today. This won't be pretty for me.
