1979 Z28, torn down to a stripped tub. How do you know if a fender is an oem GM stamped product?

No, but you should see the GM part number and mfg. info molded on the backs of the plastic partsok, now i know what to look for. I looked at every interior plastic part for a GM stamp, some had them some did not. Arent the interior parts all identified with something that says GM?
thnx

There should be some type of molded in numbers or GM on the interior parts. Most numbers are 1 off of the part number. Dont ask why, nobody knows. I am a GM retired Parts Manager for many years and could never understand why if you put a number on it , why its not the part number but its not. There is a chart in the parts books to convert the casting number to parts number. No, but you should see the GM part number and mfg. info molded on the backs of the plastic parts
Maybe rephrase that?GM parts fit OEM not. OEM plastic is most of the time lower grad Plastic
