Eastwood always has been a niche marketer. As for harbor Freight, unless I have to have extreme precision or durability, it does just fine. Especially for a tool I only need for one job or to cut up to make a unique tool. A sliding hammer I got there failed the first time I used it but most are still around. I often find little doo dads like pocket screw drivers and such that solve a problem I didn't know I had.

It's probably because of the cool flyers they put out

Makes sense. Eastwood is only at the bottom because they don't offer much.

I find it odd none of the other tool trucks were mentioned. I think this was a lot of name recognition not so much actual experience with the tools.

I bought some Eastwood stuff recently, most of the stuff was pretty good but if I were not to get the discount I would not have bought it. I got the hand held metal nibbler and it works really well, the grinders grease was horrible more like grinders wax. Have any of you guys notice HF's stuff has really gone up in price lately?

Most of it comes from China. That's the import tariff added to it.
