What are the pieces call that go between the body and the fuel tank to keep the tank from rubbing the body. Or I need to know where to get some from.

Pretty easy to duplicate with Same 30# felt (like goes on a roof) then cut and fold it into a couple of thick strips, and then form it on the tank with a little DUm DUm..
That'll hold it in place while you raise the tank into place

I know I have some of that on my truck from a job that I did today. I want to put the correct stuff on it
You can get a kit from any of the catalog places. Fuel tank anti squeak kit.
Or you can make your own as mentioned from various materials like bike tire tubes or roofing felt.

I put felt strips on it last night. I am ready to get the suspension done so I can do a 496 for it.
