I've got Verizon and the coverage is great except my home area. That's not going to work for me now that they changed stuff and the extender doesn't work anymore. I've been with Verizon for 20+ years so I'm not sure how their competition is.

Their coverage maps lie so, who do you have and how is the coverage?

Wife started using Straight Talk from Wal Mart with her iPhone. They use all the carriers and have almost total coverage. Very reasonable plans, easy to deal with. I use a TracFone myself. Don't do a whole lot with it but it also have the near total coverage. Get a decent phone and a year talk/text/2 gig data service these days for about 60 bucks.

I was with Verizon about 10 years until they got crazy expensive. My neighbor suggested Metro, now owned by T Mobile.
Been with them about 5 years. $40 for everything unlimited with auto pay. Never any problems.

Ohio and part time Florida guy. We get around quite a bit since we both hit the rocking chairs, the Straight Talk hasn't missed a beat anywhere. Haven't tried it in the Everglades though (yet). Worked ok around the Grand Canyon too.

Always used Verizon, but in the Verrado area it gets spotty on both sides of the I10.
    I guess I'm no help.

I use Verizon but only because we have Verizon repeaters in the work buildings. They are so expensive but I need to be able to communicatr with the fam when I'm at work.
