I just bought Steele Rubber Products weatherstripping for my car and it fits nicely. Was only hard to shut door when window was fully up (due to where door and upper strips meet each other at belt line at rear end of door) but after a few days leaving it shut it is slowly getting easier to close the door. What I really like is on the door weatherstripping, the ends are not plain rubber, it is rubber over a steel core, and they fit the ends of the doors so much better than the Metro stuff. Steele is bottom one. I could not even get the rear end of the Metro seals to sit against the sheet metal of the door. Look how nice and crisp the mold lines are on the steel compared to the Metro.

NPD has a store in Canton, about 3 hours from Holland. I make that drive about every week in the summer, not necessarily to go to NPD but to mow the grass at the house on that side of the state (work in GR too far to commute). It is nice to buy over a counter instead of over the phone or internet. Also, when truck freight is involved I can drive there and pick it up myself. I concur on the weatherstrips nothing will work like the original GM stuff, gone through 2 sets on my Camaro already in the few years that I have had it back together. I was able to buy GM weatherstrips for my Monte Carlo and they are still looking good after close to 40 years now.

Thanks everybody, you have been helpful. I do plan to drive to Canton as I agree it is easier to see the stuff before buying.
Here are some pictures of my 1971 Z28 Burnt Orange Paint Code 62, Turbo 400 trans, Factory 410 gears, and Doug Thorley headers and side pipes with all matching numbers. I all the original stuff including exhaust manifolds and smog pump.

Of course great car, but just a pet peeve of mine, the dealership name clear as day, if that is actually a dealership...JMO...Always interesting to me how anyone buying a new car could allow a dealership to plant a chrome logo of their business on their car. This was done I think more in the '70s, but that free advertising for the dealership would just paiss me off as well as a pain to clean wax out of those letters that were never supposed to be there.

You might think different if I told you that the "by Berger" means it was sold at one of the premier high performance dealerships in the country, especially now when a car from an HP dealer can command a bit more respect on the market. But not only are they a pain in the ass to polish around (kind of like that Z28 emblem or SS) but the holes were drilled after paint so guess what could happen behind them.

Wish my car had one (well my Traverse has one but that really doesn't mean much).

Great explanation! I wasn't that sure on that name. That one then is a keeper!

I bought my Chevelle from Berger in 69 when I was stationed at KI Sawyer up in the UP. I don't know about today's world, but they treated this GI good. Took pity on me, and sold me the car for what they paid the Trade In. Only had a couple of days to find a car, staying with friends in EGR. Still have the Chevelle.
