    thanks guys
I have a new z bar rod in order for the morning
As “copo ” suggest , and my welder
He can fill in the “bowl” of the fork
For now - I really don’t want to remove the tranny -

    For the z bar rod/bushings/nipple
    I am looking around $40 dollars ,
I imagine they are aftermarket for that price - I will let everyone know once I get them -

On a side note - the guy I am getting them from is Mario , formerly from early birds -
I have dealt with Mario before , he is tens times better than Izzy.

If any canuckle head wants his number
And he does ship to the states
    It is - 1 833 8 muscle

    thanks again to all

Not sure how long soft weld would last there. Lots of pressure and friction. The fork is heat treated. If you know a machinist it would be easy to turn up an insert from some 4140 pre-heat treated and the tack weld that in. It would last forever. Just make sure to get some grease on it.

Is Mario's shop in Barrie? I was there last winter and stumbled upon his shop. Super nice guy, said he used to be part of Early Birds. I have his card here somewhere.

Yes he is. I bought my smog pipes from him when he was in the Toronto area. He is still Early Birds as far as I know.

Yep, that's the guy. I saw his shop while I was at Barrie Frame and Alignment getting some free welding done after they did a crappy safety on my young lads truck.

Walked over, he took the time to show us around and talk Camaros for half an hour.

Hope it's not too tough to get the broken threaded piece out.

    Good Luck!
