Where at? I'm in Omaha, Millard to be exact, when I'm not at school near Chicago.

Actually, Im not from Nebraska. Im from Kansas City, Missouri.

I got a question for you guys though. I was on my way to Laramie, Wyoming on I-80. But, I came across a bridge or arch, what ever you want to call it, going over the highway. I dont remember where in Nebraska it was. But, if you know what Im talking about, What the hell is that thing?

I've heard about that thing. I've never actually seen it though. I'm not sure what its about though. Something about the mormon trail and it being the gate to the west. I don't know, sounds kinda dumb to me. What's it like? Isn't it out in the middle of nowhere? I should probably know more about it considering I live in the state, huh [IMG]? Oh well.

Yep, its not really in the middle of no where. I saw a few houses around that area. You can see it as you come down the highway. But, to actually get to the place you have to drive a mile or so up the highway to the exit and the turn around to go back to it. All it is is a big wooden arch with 2 steel eagles on the sides. Oh, yeah. It does have a Wendeys fast food joint inside I guess. There was I sign for it there.

That Arch is called "The Archway". It's by Kearney. It is a museum of Nebraska showing the natives that lived there and the pioneers that first came. It has a complete history of Nebraska up through the early 1900s. I have never been there but my parents have and I saw there pics. It's kinda cool, you wear headsets that know what room you are in and tell you about what you are looking at. There are many people dressed in costums of the diff. time periods. President Clinton visited last year. Not that that's impresive. Not impresive at all if you ask.... sorry, off the subject.

I lived in Nebraska for about 25 years but now live in Kansas as of three weeks ago.
